Hampton's Homecoming 2010 kicks-off with this epic event.... Hampton Idol is designed to decide on the opening acts for this years Homecoming Concert where Chrisette Michelle, Wale and Rick Ross will be performing. Ten contestants will hit center stage at Hampton University's Ogden Hall to show their "Home by the Sea" the musical talent they have.

Friday nights event consist of The Norva in Norfolk, Virginia (gurantee 1200+) ... tickets will range from $15-$25 as time gets closer.... this is and 18 and up so please bring your id and college id as well...

This Thursday, Hampton University will be begin open auditions for the next Hu Idol. The two winners (one rapper, one singer) will be crowned as Hu Idol and go on to represent the school as the two opening acts for this years Homecoming Concert. With over fifty applicants as of yesterday, this is a MUST SEE event.
Audition begin on Thursday, September 30th at 6pm in the Student Center Atrium....

It's going down this Saturday, July 3rd at The Village (813 N. King St. Hampton, Va) from 9-unitl. Transportation will be provided for $2 and the shuttle will be picking up and dropping off in front of Burger King. The shuttle will be accesible from 8:45-12:45. "Black Card" holders will be able to use their cards for discounted prices until 11pm.

In addition to the new demo, Freqwencee is currently working on their new video "Dumbest Love". Expected video release is scheduled for June 27th. Joining the band in the upcoming video will be special guest, Martierra Johnson, an Hampton University graduate from Baltimore, Md.

Kevin Howard, but better known as DJ Polo will take over the set for the events this summer. Dj Polo is a native of Yorktown, VA and now attends NC A&T. Founder and owner of Main Event Promotions, Kevin has dj'd events from Washington DC to Greensboro NC. He will be added to The Team, LLC network of dj's including Dj Tay James and Dj B. Ryte . "Polo" is currently working on dropping his first mixtape and djing events in Hampton Roads for the summer.

Freqwencee, a neo-soul group based in the Hampton Roads area, started raising eyes brows in 2008. With two of The Team partners (Eron Stephens and Jairod Barnes), The Team has been following this band from beginning. The band has been featured at many events inside and out of Hampton.
